How your donations will be used:

At this great hour of need when the Covid-19 crisis grows, The Akshaya Patra Foundation, in close coordination with the Government of India and State Governments, stepped in soon after the lockdown, to provide relief by serving food to thousands of people across the country. So far more than 70 million meals have been served all across India. But millions more need our help.

Adhering to all safety and hygiene measures, Akshaya Patra provides freshly cooked meals or packed grocery kits to the marginalised and low-income segment of the society, comprising daily wage workers, migrant labourers, construction site workers, and needy people at old age homes and night shelters.

Presently, the Foundation is providing food relief in Rajasthan, Karnataka, Telangana, Gujarat, Maharashtra, NCR, Uttar Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Assam, Madhya Pradesh, Uttarakhand ,Tripura ,West Bengal , Punjab , Jharkhand and Himachal Pradesh.

The cost of each cooked meal is 0.25 pence and the cost of each grocery kit is £8, containing rice, pulses, oil, spices, and vegetables that can serve an adult for nearly a month.
