Foundation laid for the 1st Madhya Pradesh Kitchen in presence of Hon. PM, Kamal Nath, Prime Minister, MP, India

On 20th February 2020, the foundation stone was laid for Chhindwara Kitchen in the presence of Honourable Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Shri Kamal Nath. Other delegates like Nakul Nath, MP of Lok Sabha and HEG Chairman Shri Ravi Jhunjhunwala graced the occasion. Shri Chanchalapathi Dasa, Vice-President of The Akshaya Patra Foundation gifted a model of the Foundation’s Unit to the Chief Minister.


The Foundation’s Chhindwara Kitchen, Madhya Pradesh, India, aims to feed 7000 students from 116 Government and Government-aided schools in the first phase. During the 2nd phase, nutritious and healthy meals are aimed to be served to 15,000 students within 6 months. As of today, the Foundation feeds 18,00,517 school children of India.
