• Introducing Shakti Kumar Dash. A Year 6 student and Akshaya Patra beneficiary from Chandra Brahmapur School, Puri, Odisha. Drawing is what he loves to do in his spare time. He says "I have been drawing ever since I could hold a pencil."

  • Indu, a Year 6 student from Bengaluru, Karnataka, wants to be a Doctor when she grows up. Indu’s Grandmother suffers from an undiagnosed chest problem and Indu often acts as her carer on days when she is taken particularly unwell. "My Grandmother avoids going for check-ups probably because it is so expensive. I want to grow up quickly so that I can cure my grandmother and other people like her, free of cost."

  • This is Santhosha, an Akshaya Patra beneficiary from Bengaluru, Karnataka. He is a year 7 student at GHP School, Kempapura - Bengaluru. He likes science classes at school. He wants to become an engineer and discover some of the coolest mechanical gadgets, which protect people whilst driving.

    He expresses his gratitude for Akshaya Patra, which provides wholesome meals at his school. Santhosha and his friends enjoy the mid-day meals to the fullest. It not only calms their hunger pangs but also fills them up with hope and confidence.

  • This is Manjunatha, a braveheart who wants to stand tall in the defence of his nation - INDIA. He is a Year 8 student at GHP School, Doddabettahalli, Bengaluru, Karnataka. He wants to join Indian army.

    “Akshaya Patra’s food is a source of encouragement for me. I love rice and sambar the most,” says Manjunatha. He also mentions that the healthy food helps him to concentrate in classes.
