After the sudden demise of his mother, life was hard for him. However, with his firm determination and willingness to do something good in life, Manjunatha endured the challenges, he had been facing. Coming from a family of four, he has two siblings who are studying in the same school and are beneficiaries of The Akshaya Patra Foundation. He hails from a challenged background where education is a hard-won luxury. 

“Akshaya Patra’s food is a source of encouragement for me. I love rice and sambar the most,” says Manjunatha. He also mentions that the healthy food helps him to concentrate in classes. 

It is when marginalised children like Manjunatha gets the courage to dream, the objective of The Akshaya Patra Foundation starts getting fulfilled. The foundation aspires to reach out to more and more children, save them from classroom hunger and empower them to dream big.
