If you are a creative individual with ideas and dynamism, this job could be yours. The ideal candidate should know the world of social media and design on canva, and should be eager to deliver creative thoughts to powerful social media posts and poster designs.


Marketing and Outreach

  • The candidate shall have the expertise to take the lead in creating digital content and social media marketing and engagement.
  • Design appropriate creatives to be published on various platforms, working closely with the Marketing team. Skills in Canva, Photoshop, Adobe and Advanced Microsoft office.
  • Help manage the charity’s website content with the IT support team. Improving website interface and bigger changes via web agency.
  • Create new marketing collateral and organise supplies as needed e.g. T-shirts, banners, etc.
  • Utilise current marketing assets and help develop new ones for communications and outreach e.g. updating TAPF Introduction, Infographic, Restaurant/Corporate/University/School Collateral.


Fundraising Events and campaigns

  • Reach out to community organisations, collectives, and institutions for collaboration opportunities.
  • Create and update fundraising collateral with insightful targeting as needed. (Mainly digital fundraising). Ensuring all marketing supplies/digital assets are replenished/re-created as needed.
  • Help design quarterly newsletters and ensure timely production.
  • General admin as required.


Event Management and support campaigns

  • Learn and ensure the agreed project management methods, standards and processes are maintained throughout the project lifecycle. Assist the team in the production and maintenance of project plans.
  • Lead community and partner events individually and confidentially. The candidate shall be willing to occasionally attend evening programmes or weekend events, whether in person or online.


Required Skills

  • Excellent English language proficiency (written and verbal). Knowledge of an additional Indian language is helpful
  • Confident and polite telephone manner
  • Photoshop Advanced, and general graphic design
  • MS Office Advanced (proficient in ppt)
  • Strong Time Management, Stakeholder Management and Admin Skills
  • Willingness to work in the evening occasionally for an event or at weekends will be preferred
  • Knowledge of social media tools (stories, reels, etc.)
  • Knowledge of SalesForce or CRM is a bonus
  • Hands-on web development or interest in IT/web design

The Akshaya Patra Foundation is committed to providing a sustainable solution to the problem of hunger and nutrition. TAPF runs the world’s largest not-for-profit school meals program in addition to serving vulnerable groups at risk of food insecurity.

The UK Program Manager supports and develops our charitable food service initiatives in the UK, with a focus on identifying new partners and securing new opportunities to serve. The PM will also manage the UK Program Assistant and will oversee program delivery and development, working closely with the Kitchen Operations Team.

Areas of Responsibility


  • Build orders for School meals, after-school meals, holiday projects, and special projects including setting TAPF UK up as a registered school meals provider
  • Lead in the procurement of projects and work with Operations Team to deliver all programmes
  • Prepare project and utilisation reports for management and grantors?

Programme Management and Distribution

  • Coordinate operations and work with the Kitchen Ops team for the distribution of meals for all UK Programmes
  • Client relationship management - collect feedback from clients and partners to constantly improve TAPF UK quality, systems, and services


  • Facilitate and develop commercial capabilities in the Kitchen, in partnership with Operations Team. 
  • Carry out pilot projects to test new initiatives, with the view to fully utilise Kitchen capacity.


  • Co-manage the Executive Admin and Program Assistant.

Fundraising and Partnerships

  • Help identify new grant and foundation opportunities and work with Kitchen operations to meet requirements.
  • Support the management and administration of/for Trusts and Foundations including the application process and any associated report building.
  • Report to senior management and grantors on annual/project performance.


  • To conduct, participate in internal/external audits and ensure compliance to the relevant standards in cooperation with Ops Team

Stakeholder Relations

  • Effective handling and engagement with partners, clients, beneficiaries, guests, media, donors, volunteers, grantors, and visiting dignitaries.

  • University degree – at least 2 years of relevant industry experience ideally in school meals catering, food service, customer relationships, field sales, or Program/Project management
  • Excellent in communication, attention to detail, and interpersonal relationships
  • DBS check
  • A full, clean driving license.

Desirable Experience

  •  Experience in Catering, hospitality, food services, contracts management
