Skills :
  • Experience in catering industry is beneficial to manage UK feeding operations including setting up contracts with suppliers and users, executing the food provision logistics etc, and finding new suppliers and users for our operations.
  • Flexible to attend donor meetings, fundraising and volunteer events in evenings and on weekends.
  • Experience working independently and as part of a team to reach allocated targets.
  • Beneficial if you can speak or understand Gujarati/Hindi to engage with our large set of donors and volunteers who have a Gujarati background.
  • Ability to engage and reach out to recruit new donors and volunteers by organizing community events and talks.

We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced, ambitious and self-driven individual to join our small team in London. By leading and managing our UK Feeding initiatives as well as UK Community Partnership strategy, this role will enable you to make a huge impact on the hunger problem in UK.

The UK Operations are beginning to grow exponentially with our new kitchens coming up in UK, and our ambition to make a real difference in the UK by serving hot healthy meals to children and the most vulnerable populations affected by hunger. You will help develop catering contracts with the councils and with their help, identify needy beneficiaries. You
will help manage the logistics of getting orders from holiday clubs, schools and after school clubs and ensuring food delivery to help tackle the hunger problem in UK. You will also help create new contracts with schools, clubs, hospitals etc for growing our beneficiary and user base in UK.

You will also be responsible for creating a pipeline of community fundraising initiatives, plan and execute them in line with the charity’s ethos of frugal professionalism. You will lead a program of community and regional engagement, as well as look to develop new community fundraising products/campaigns to expand income growth and develop and manage volunteer recruitment and engagement.

Marketing and Fundraising Officer

Skills : Marketing and Outreach:

  1. The candidate shall have expertise to take the lead on creating digital content and social media marketing.
  2. Design appropriate creatives to be published on various platforms, working closely with the Marketing teams. Skills on Canva, Photoshop, Adobe and Advanced Microsoft office.
  3. Manage the charity’s website content with the IT support team. Improving website interface and bigger changes via web agency.
  4. Creating new marketing collateral and supplies as needed e.g. T-shirts, banners etc
  5. Utilise current marketing assets and help develop new ones for communications and outreach e.g. updating TAPF Introduction, Infographic, Restaurant/Corporate/University/School Collaterals. 
Fundraising Events and campaigns:

  1. Reach out to community organisations, collectives, institutions for collaboration opportunities.
  2. Lead and organize more fundraising events for instance Bake Sales or working with universities, corporates and schools.
  3. Create and update fundraising materials as needed. Ensuring all marketing supplies are replenished at all times.
  4. Telephone briefings to our donors through insightful targeting and messaging via emails and letters (MailChimp/Post).
  5. Design quarterly newsletters along with the marketing team and ensure timely production
  6. Proactively seek opportunities to delight the donors, understanding that every contact point is an opportunity to positively influence how supporters feel about the charity.
Event Management and support campaigns:

  1. Ensure the agreed project management methods, standards and processes are maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
  2. Assist the team in the production and maintenance of project plans.
  3. Lead community and partner events individually and confidentially. The candidate shall be willing to occasionally attend evening programmes or weekend events. 
Required Skills

  1. Excellent English language proficiency (written and verbal). Knowledge of an additional Indian language preferred
  2. Photoshop Advanced
  3. Microsoft Office Advanced
  4.  Strong Time Management, Stakeholder Management and Admin Skills
  5. Willingness to work in the evening occasionally for an event or weekends will be preferred.
